Occasionally I will find a product worthy of mentioning. Last week while waiting for a pizza from Bertucci’s at the Derby Street Shoppes, I ventured over to Whole Foods. I didn’t need anything in particular just waiting for my pizza. I walked up and down the aisles and noticed a display of Grillo's Pickles. The first thing that caught my attention, they are refrigerated which I took for “fresh” and minimal if no preservatives. My intuition was right. These pickles made from wholesome (no pun intended) ingredients, including; cucumbers (glad to know that’s the first ingredient), Brine (water, distilled white vinegar, salt), garlic, fresh dill and grape leaves. Looking at the image in this post, you will indeed see slices of real garlic and sprigs of dill! They taste fantastic and will become a staple in my refrigerator.
