As this is the first of hopefully many posts in a new blogging adventure, I was looking for an interresting title. So you may ask yourself, gustatory modality? Gustatory modality basically means taste! In thinking about what subject to blog, I thought about my passions; photography, food, and travel. My hope is to convey my love and passion for these three subjects. Visually through my photography, sensory through my passion for food, and adventure through documenting my travels. I hope you'll check in from time-to-time or follow me and my blog.
The image above is a memory of a fantastic meal I enjoyed last fall while visiting Las Vegas. I dined at the Otto Enoteca Pizzeria located inside the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian. The restaurant situated in St Marks Square is part of the Venetians recreation of Venice, Italy. At times, you would swear you are walking along one of those famous canals. The restaurant gives the patron a feeling of being outside. The attention to detail is incredible. The meal shown above is a grilled swordfish steak with broccoli, roasted potatoes and carrots. The swordfish garnished with a pesto sauce was memorable. I recommend asking for the specials as I enjoyed a roasted squash soup as an appetiser. The service was great, wait staff friendly, knowledgeable and attentive.
